Toronto Mayor steps down

T.O. Mayor Miller has decided to step down for "family reasons". Me-thinks it's more like he knew he was going to get DUMPED ON over his handling of the Garbage Strike along with his free-spending ways.

Now the games begin! Dalton McGuinty right-hand man George Smitherman looks like a possible at this point and maybe former Ontario Conservative leader-turned radio host John Tory. Johns' been turned down more times than Pamela Anderson's satin bedspread but he may give it a shot as well but has a new gig as a host on "the radio station formerly known as CFRB".
What's the point in running John! Although I do think he's a decent man and would do a good job, Toronto voters would elect a dead skunk as long as it's Liberal these days,Provincially or Federally, and in fact it's becoming a Toronto vs. the rest of the province situation and is becoming quite frustrating for many in the non-GTA landscape.

The Economic Downturn

A question....Why are so many so-called experts warning us of a "double-dip" in the world's Economies....by suggesting a "W" shaped recovery they are simply creating confusion and negativity and if its reported enough it becomes true. This is known as an "AD HOMINEM ARGUMENT"....whereby the media gets everyone stirred up and makes the event happen...not because it needs to happen but they make it happen through reportage.

Maybe this is way to simplistic but that is the way it looks to me.
