Just a titch of snow in Orr Lake this morning and around minus 1....2 weeks today is Christmas eve...in 1987...The snow we had up till that point had pretty well gone....after rain the day before. Today is Mighty Mouse Playhouse Day, marking debut of the popular Saturday morning cartoon show on this day in 1955. 1949: Fats Domino recorded "The Fat Man" in New Orleans. It would become his first million-seller...that's how he got his name. 1953: The first Playboy magazine went on sale featuring the famous calendar shot of Marilyn Monroe. There was no date on the issue. Happy 59th birthday to model-actress Susan Dey. Not to be confused with singer Gladys Knight. I know it's goofy, but there are people who can't tell the difference between Knight and Dey.
