THURSDAY JAN 3RD 2013

Howdy folks...another inch of snow this morning and around -8 C. 30 years ago we had about the same amount of snow (7") and a high for the day of -2 and a low of -17...In World Jr. Hockey We lost 4 to 1 to the Soviets...Rocky 4 was at the movies...the Cosby was no. 1 on TV and Gas at the pump was 50.3 cents. In 1938: The "March of Dimes" campaign to fight polio was started. In 1970: The Beatles recorded their last song together, "I Me Mine." Ten years later it was the title of George Harrison’s autobiography. We watched part 1 of a great documentary on George Harrison last night and it was an excellent look at their early days...I taped part 2. I hadn't realized they had recorded "she Loves Me yah yah yah...She loves me Not Yah Yah Yah. In 1983, Michael Jackson's Thriller LP was released. It would top the LP chart for 37 weeks and become the best selling album of all time....The golden Jet is 74 years old today...I think this is day 110 of the hockey lock-out. I have a couple of predictions for 2013...It will be LEAN times for the Tower of Pisa and Larry King will be declared the "Newly-wed Capital of the World. and one final thought...after the big holiday feasting...The best way to clean up SILVER is to HAVE Tonto run him through a car wash.
