OFF WE GO INTO THE WILD TREW YONDER FOR ANOTHER DAY....brrrr it's a cold one with our get up temp at -15 (I won't say what time..I am a lazy bugger) I have a former colleague who is now in Red Deer Alberta who says she has to get up at 3am (glad those days are over). She also tells me that a coffee shop in Owen Sound that we use to frequent use to contain Marshall McLuhan old sofa..however I digress. In 1982 we had a low of -25 and a big snowfall with the 400 hwy being closed down for 6 hours. In 1974 on this date Lakelse B.C. hosted Canada's Greatest one Day Snowfall with 118.1 cms falling. Also on this date in 1910 Thomas Crapper (of flush Toilet fame) Died (people say the day before he looked quite flushed). In 1952, almost everyone's favourite Stooge CURLY died. "SHEMP" was actually the original 3rd Stooge..but left to go solo and Curly took over, then he had a stroke and Shemp came back...and so on and so on...nyuk,nyuk,nyuk. Then Shemp died and there were 2 other 3rd stooges after that. Joe Besser and "curly Joe"...Most guys liked them and most girls don't..but they're "better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick"
